I can't tell you how often women say to me, "I really want to do a boudoir session, but I'm not exactly a 'lingerie' type of girl. Can I still do boudoir photos?"

My answer is always the same — of course you can! Boudoir attire is all about what makes you feel the best in your own skin and that varies for each woman. Some non-traditional boudoir ideas include wearing a cozy sweater, a furry throw, a uniform, or even a cut up t-shirt of your husband's favorite superheroes.

Miss H came to me wanting to surprise her husband with the ultimate gift on their first Valentine's Day as husband and wife. When she told me that she wanted to incorporate something to do with Ironman, my eyes lit up. Miss H held up a men's t-shirt she had picked up before her shoot and we went to work with a pair of scissors, laughing as I held the shirt and she cut the neck. I love the way everything turned out and Miss H got that perfectly undone and slouchy look she was going for.
