I’m Danielle, the woman behind the camera at D. Phillips Photography, and my specialty is taking photographs that make people feel like the most confident version of themselves.

As a photographer, I love capturing genuine interaction and the emotions that surround it. Candid pictures filled with light and laughter are my absolute favorites, and clients often tell me how much they love the amount of expression that comes through in their photographs.
 

Taking photos can sometimes make us feel a little self-conscious, but trust me to capture you in a natural and authentic way. I find that the best photos are the ones that reflect who you are and tap into the perfectly imperfect characteristics that make you unique. 
 

My journey with photography began in 2009. I had just graduated from college with an insatiable sense of wanderlust and I knew that I wanted to see more of the world, so I decided to move to South Korea for a year and teach English. Traveling in Asia was eye-opening for me, and my experiences there laid the foundation for my love of photography.

I love sharing what’s going on behind the scenes on Instagram and funny videos on TikTok.
 

These days I call Tennessee home and love spending my days running a business with the best co-worker I could ask for by my side. Most of the time you’ll find me shooting sessions, editing photos, and practicing new techniques, usually with a mellow guitar-driven playlist of songs jamming away in the background.
