A Peak Into A Maternity Boudoir Photoshoot

Capturing the beauty of your body in a maternity boudoir shoot is an empowering way to transform the way you see yourself and appreciate the changes that your body is going through.

We shoot in both indoor and outdoor settings, so you can bring in the elements that feel most you, to best capture this time, including your partner or family member/s, and photograph a variety of looks.

The best time to take maternity boudoir photos is between the 30th and 36th week of your pregnancy, when every woman is sure to have a visible baby bump. This helps us to fully capture all that your body is capable of for you to look back on in years to come.

Clients usually request to finish up their session with tasteful nudes to really embrace and capture the transformation their bodies go through becoming mothers.

I love the way these MATERNITY BOUDOIR photographs show of each woman's beauty and curves.

Let’s talk about a shoot for your own pregnancy!

Best Outfits for Boudoir

Don’t know what to wear? Choosing an outfit for your boudoir photo shoot doesn’t have to be a challenge. With the right mindset and resources, you can let go of your shopping anxiety and walk away with pieces that you feel confident and sexy in for your big day.

So what’s the game plan for your boudoir outfits?

First, it’s key that you’re shopping for the right size. Every woman’s body is unique, and after getting fitted and measured a lot of women learn that they’ve been wearing ill-fitting bras their entire lives! Consultations at department stores and Victoria’s Secret are old classics, and they’re now offered both in-person and online. Soma is another good choice if you’re a 36DD or more.

Now, shopping is the fun part! The most important thing to keep in mind is that you’re shopping for you. Your photos will look their best if you feel confident in what you’re wearing, and this means staying true to yourself when you’re making your selections. If you’re not exactly sure what your vibe is, SavageXFenty has a great online quiz to help you out! Keep in mind that solid colors and clean lines usually photograph best! If you’re feeling unsure about your picks, always know that you can reach out to us for assurance.

When you come into the studio for your pre-shoot boudoir consultation, you’ll leave with my list of fave places to shop for lingerie online as well as my boudoir & lingerie guides.

Personally, a locally owned store I recommend checking out for your fitting & shopping is Darlin’ Intimates in Nashville. Worth the drive into the city!
